Louisiana Seafood Experience
Ride with us as we make the rounds just as an early
settler of the swamps might have done, harvesting
the catch from our hand-made slat traps, our
carefully placed nets, our set lines and trot lines,
our crab traps and crawfish traps.
You will see how those who made a home here
managed to survive, and to live abundantly, in this
difficult place, as you learn about the natural features
of three distinct environments: the bottomland hardwood forests, the Cypress-Tupelo swamps, and the marshes. And when the catch is gathered, come back with us to enjoy a delicious Louisiana seafood luncheon on our barge in the Cypress-Tupelo swamp or marsh,
while we demonstrate how these gifts from nature are
transformed into a world-class cuisine.
