We can handle groups of up to 88 persons
on our 2 hour tour of the swamp and marsh.
Your guests will experience the way early settlers
in this difficult environment made a living,
as we harvest the catch from slat traps, hoop nets,
gill nets, crab traps, crawfish traps, and even box
traps in which we make live capture of the wild boar.
They will learn about the series of displaced peoples
who made their home in Louisiana's coastal wetlands:
native Americans, escaped slaves, Cajuns, Chinese,
Croatian and later Vietnamese fishermen.
We have plenty of room to park your busses,
and we offer convenient luncheon options
on premises or nearby. We can create custom
events to suit your group and budget:
special guides such as birders or cultural experts,
a band and catered meal or party, cooking
demonstration, etc.
